Serbia anticipates reaching a swift agreement with Hungary on the construction of a new oil pipeline linked to the Druzhba system, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin announced in a recent statement to the media.
“We expect to finalize an agreement with Hungary in the near future,” Vulin said, emphasizing that coordination efforts with Hungary are already underway. “Our project for the oil pipeline is progressing, and we are working closely with the Hungarian authorities.”
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed hope that the agreement would be finalized by next year.
The planned oil pipeline, set to connect Hungary and Serbia, is slated for completion by 2026. The new pipeline will be integrated into the Druzhba system, enabling Serbia to diversify its oil supplies and reduce reliance on Croatia for its energy needs.
