This initiative focuses on advancing digital transformation in the energy sector.
As part of the agreement, each company will establish a state-of-the-art research center at the Al Ahmadi Innovation Valley. These centers will focus on providing KOC with innovative solutions for oil and gas exploration and production.
Ahmad Jaber Al Eidan, CEO of KOC, emphasized that the Al Ahmadi Innovation Valley is a key national project designed to drive forward the country’s energy sector.
Representatives from the companies attended the signing ceremony. Amerino Gatti, Executive Vice President of Oilfield Services and Equipment at Baker Hughes; Kareem Al Sayed, Managing Director at SLP Oilfield Services; Jeff Miller, Board Chairman and CEO of Halliburton; Ashutosh Panchal, Country Director at Weatherford; and Sherif Foda, Chairman and CEO of NESR were present at the event.
In a statement about the partnership with Baker Hughes, Al Eidan highlighted that the collaboration will focus on optimizing production through advanced technologies like artificial lift, chemicals, and digital tools. The partnership will also address KOC’s technological challenges, boost Kuwait’s research capabilities, and promote local expertise and economic growth.
By working with global energy leaders, KOC aims to build an integrated system that supports its goals of technological excellence and sustainable energy. This initiative marks a significant step toward reinforcing Kuwait’s position as a regional leader in both energy and digital innovation.
