Quarrying Company Exempt from Environmental Impact Assessment by EPA

by Yuki

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted Dragon Mining Company Inc permission to establish a stone quarry at the confluence of the Supenaam and Karani rivers in the Cuyuni Mining District without the need for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The EPA has determined that the project will not significantly impact the environment.

Despite the EPA’s announcement that the project summary is available on its website, it is currently not accessible. The reason for this discrepancy remains unclear.
