Kyrgyzstan Sees Significant Rise in Gasoline Exports in Early 2024

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, June 24 – Kyrgyzstan exported 3.932 million liters of gasoline from January through April 2024, marking a 16.3 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, which saw exports of 3.381 million liters.

The State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan highlighted that the total value of these gasoline exports reached $1.787 million, reflecting a 29 percent increase over the $1.376 million recorded in the first four months of 2023.

A significant portion of these exports were directed to neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan exported 2.749 million liters of gasoline, valued at $1.219 million, to Uzbekistan. Additionally, 1.183 million liters, valued at $568,400, were exported to Kazakhstan.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover saw a substantial boost, reaching $5.171 billion from January through April 2024. This represents a 27.7 percent increase compared to the $4.051 billion recorded during the same period in 2023.

Exports during this period amounted to $760.6 million, a 19.7 percent rise from the $635.678 million recorded in the first four months of 2023. Imports also saw significant growth, increasing by 29.2 percent from $3.415 billion in January–April 2023 to $4.411 billion in the same period of 2024.
