The government has announced new retail prices for diesel and kerosene, effective from July, setting them at Taka 106.75 per litre, reduced by Taka 1 from the previous rate of Taka 107.75. Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and octane will remain unchanged at Tk 127 and Tk 131 per litre, respectively.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) issued a gazette notification on Sunday (June 30) outlining these adjustments.
Despite global decreases in petroleum prices, local fuel prices have seen an increase due to the taka’s devaluation against the US dollar.
