In a recent development, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in petroleum product prices. The decision, made during a Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, will take effect from Friday.
The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 5 per litre. Under the new pricing structure, petrol will cost Rs 162 per litre in the first category, Rs 164 in the second category, and Rs 165 in the third category. Diesel and kerosene prices have also been adjusted, with reductions of Rs 3 per litre. The new prices are Rs 152 per litre for the first category, Rs 158 for the second category, and Rs 155 for the third category.
The first category includes locations such as Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. The second category covers Surkhet and Dang, while the third category includes Dipayal, Pokhara, and Kathmandu.
