The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has refuted claims of distributing adulterated petrol, emphasizing its commitment to rigorous quality standards across all operations.

In a statement issued on Thursday, NNPCL’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, clarified that the company’s retail arm, NNPC Retail Ltd, strictly adheres to quality control protocols to ensure the distribution of only high-quality, safe, and reliable petroleum products at its stations nationwide.

“NNPC Retail Ltd does not deal in adulterated products, as it adheres to rigorous standards and quality control measures at every stage in its operations to ensure that only high-quality, safe, and reliable petroleum products are available at its stations nationwide,” the statement read.

Soneye also dismissed a viral video in which a customer alleged they had purchased contaminated fuel from an NNPC Retail outlet at Keffi Flyover in Nasarawa State, reaffirming the company’s stance on product integrity.
