Azerbaijan and OPEC Discuss Clean Energy and Market Stability

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, held talks with Haitham Al Ghais, the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), on Tuesday. The meeting focused on key issues surrounding global energy transitions, including the role of clean energy advancements and OPEC’s role in facilitating partnerships for renewable energy growth.

Al Ghais expressed strong support for Azerbaijan’s leadership in the upcoming COP29 conference, highlighting the country’s significant contributions to global climate discussions. He also praised Azerbaijan for its proactive involvement in managing the global oil market and its constructive stance on energy regulations.
