Gombe Governor Engages NNPCL GMD on Oil and Gas Growth

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya recently met with Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), to discuss the Kolmani Integrated Development Project and the state’s growing role in the oil and gas industry.

A statement from the Governor’s spokesperson, Ismaila Uba Misilli, revealed that the meeting aimed to further Gombe’s strategic position as a key hub for oil and gas operations in Northern Nigeria. This visit is part of ongoing engagements between Governor Yahaya and the NNPCL leadership, both in his capacity as the governor of Gombe State and as Chairman of the Northern State Governors’ Forum (NSGF).

Misilli emphasized that Governor Yahaya is committed to ensuring that Gombe State continues to play a vital role in Nigeria’s energy and economic sectors. He added that the governor is focused on fostering partnerships with both national and international stakeholders to create sustainable economic opportunities for the people of Gombe, the North East, and the wider northern region.
