Tokyo Gas Aims to Nearly Double Net Profit by FY26 (3.26)

TOKYO, March 26 (Reuters) – Tokyo Gas (9531.T), Japan’s largest city gas provider, announced plans to nearly double its net profit by the fiscal year 2026. The company shared these goals in its medium-term management plan released on Wednesday.

Tokyo Gas expects its net profit to increase to 131 billion yen ($871 million) in the 2025-26 fiscal year, starting April 1, up from 72 billion yen in the current fiscal year. The company also plans to raise its dividend by 10 yen to 80 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
