Gasoline Shortage Causes Chaos in Tete, Mozambique (3.28)

by Yuki

Motorists and motorcycle taxi drivers in Tete are facing long queues at gas stations due to a shortage of gasoline.

The situation has caused significant disruption in the city, according to local reports.

Yesterday morning, several gas stations were still selling fuel. However, by the end of the day, only one out of the six stations in the city center remained open.

As a result, some residents are turning to unofficial fuel sources, purchasing gasoline for 150 meticais per liter. Others are traveling long distances to wait in line at the few stations still offering fuel.
