Fuel prices will rise for the second consecutive week, with several oil companies announcing a significant increase on Monday.
Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. have each confirmed price hikes of P1.40 per liter for gasoline, and P1.20 per liter for both diesel and kerosene.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will also implement the same price adjustments, but Cleanfuel does not sell kerosene.
The price changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, except for Cleanfuel, which will adjust prices starting at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other companies have not yet made similar announcements.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) had previously predicted a major price increase this week, citing factors such as U.S. sanctions on Iran, potential tariffs on countries buying Venezuelan crude oil, and ongoing energy disruptions due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Last week, fuel prices were also raised, with gasoline up by P1.10 per liter and diesel and kerosene up by P0.40 each.
As of March 25, 2025, the year-to-date price increases now stand at P3.25 per liter for both gasoline and diesel, while kerosene prices have decreased by P0.30 per liter.
